Our general sales manager, Buddy Espinosa is a former Marine. Service Advisor Carl Martinez was in the Army.    Many of Beaver Toyota employees were either in the service or have friends and family that served our country. We'd like to dedicate this page to them.

JACK JASON, Beaver Finance.
My dad served in WW II in the Infantry. He was deployed in the European theater until Germany surrendered. He was then sent to the Pacific theater until the Japanese surrendered. He wanted to stay in the Army, but my Grandmother put her foot down and said the military was no place for a nice Jewish boy as a full time career. He became a CPA but Pop stayed in the US Army Reserves, giving up 2 weeks for active duty every year, which drove my mother nuts. He retired as a Lt. Colonel of the USAR.

My mother’s brother attended the U S Military Academy, graduating in 1946. Uncle Mike served in the Korean War. He was deployed to Viet Nam in 1968. While there, he was promoted to Colonel. After Nam he was second in command at the Supreme Headquarters of the Allied Powers in Europe (SHAPE). He returned stateside and was head of the Army War College at Ft. Leavenworth. Uncle Mike earned a PhD from Columbia University while serving full time. He retired after being twice put up for  but denied a promotion to General. He is buried at West Point.

Kathy Lucero, Beaver Office Staff
I have a daughter who is in the Air Force, she is stationed in Kirtland, here in Albuquerque. She is a mother of two, my beautiful Madison is 6 & Donovan is 4. Darlene has been fortunate not to go overseas, or should I say we have all been blessed with her being stationed in the States. She has been in the military for about 10 years & her Rank is Staff Sergeant aka E5, and her job is “Knowledge Operations  Manager. My dad was also in the Army way back when, he went to Korea but can’t remember when that was for he has been deceased since I was 19.  Guess that’s all I can remember about Dad.

ALFRED HERNANDEZ , Beaver Parts.
I had three brothers in Vietnam luckly they all made it home ok. One of my brothers saw the most fighting his name John Hernandez he was a Sgt. with the 101st Airborne. One of his most dangerous battles was on Hamburger Hill . They made a movie about that. To this day he cannot sleep on 4th of July because of the fireworks.

NANCY ANDERSON, Beaver Marketing & Sales.
I grew up as a 'military brat'.  My dad, Don Lynch, was in the Air Force for 20 years. He was stationed in Japan and Korea but primarily assigned to places around the States.   His last station was Gunter Air Force Base in Alabama.  Then he retired to San Antonio, where he lives today.

One of my nephews, David Heitman just returned safely from  tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

On memorial day, my husband and I will be thinking of his brother and his dad.  My father-in-law, Vince Anderson,  joined the Army/Air Corps in WWII.  He was one of the flying sergeants.  After the War, they stopped that program. Only officers were able to fly so he moved into areas such as helping to close bases.   He was stationed in Spain, Turkey and several places in the States.  He is buried along side his eldest son, Craig, who died as a pilot in Vietnam.
